Career Journey

Sally began her career in Adelaide, after completing a degree in Accounting from the University of South Australia. She spent over four years in corporate accounting, developing technical financial and commercial acumen while working within a subsidiary of a global organisation.

In the mid-1990s, after relocating to Melbourne, Sally moved into finance and accounting recruitment. What began as a career pivot quickly defined her career for years to come, combining her technical grounding with a natural ability to bridge the gap between organisational needs and individual ambition, aligning capability with culture. During this period, Sally partnered with major Australian corporates and the Victorian State Government sector, building trusted relationships and honing a consultative, people-led approach.

Seeking broader international experience, Sally relocated to London in the late 1990s, joining one of Europe's leading recruitment firms, Walker Hamill. Over the next decade within their Accounting & Finance division, she gained exceptional exposure to the depth and pace of the London market. Partnering with global organisations across diverse industries and operating in an environment defined by high expectations and teamwork. The experience sharpened her expertise, expanded her international perspective and further refined her ability to deliver in fast-moving, competitive markets.

Sally's move to IAC-Search marked a pivotal step into Executive Search, specialising in the Corporate Assurance market. Within this highly regarded firm, she worked closely with the Directors to deliver retained search assignments for clients. Her role demanded extensive market mapping and approaches across the UK, Western Europe and Hong Kong, with strategies carefully tailored to the needs of FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Fortune 100 organisations. During this time, she established a reputation as a trusted advisor to ambitious senior professionals, guiding careers across risk management, compliance, governance and internal audit.

In late 2022, Sally returned to Adelaide, coming full circle and bringing with her a wealth of global perspective and experience. She joined Perks People Solutions, partnering with clients in the private sector, local and state government across accounting, corporate finance and corporate assurance specialisms. Re-establishing herself in the Adelaide market and building a strong local network proved both professionally and personally rewarding.

In 2026, she embarks on a new chapter with Warner Recruitment Partners. Drawing on decades of experience shaped with exceptional firms and industry leaders, Sally has established her own boutique recruitment and search firm built on trust, discretion and a genuine commitment to delivering meaningful, long-term outcomes.
