Career Journey
Sally began her career in Adelaide after completing a degree in Accounting from the University of South Australia. She spent over four years in corporate accounting, developing strong financial and commercial foundations while working within a subsidiary of a global organisation.
After relocating to Melbourne in the mid-1990s, Sally transitioned into finance and accounting recruitment. What began as a career pivot quickly evolved into a long-term profession, combining technical expertise with a natural ability to connect organisational needs with individual ambition. During this period, she partnered with major Australian corporates and Victorian Government agencies, building trusted relationships and refining a consultative, people-focused approach.
Seeking broader international experience, Sally relocated to London in the late 1990s, joining leading European recruitment firm Walker Hamill. Over the following decade within their Accounting & Finance division, she partnered with global organisations and successful SMEs across diverse industries, operating in an environment defined by high expectations and teamwork. The experience broadened her expertise, expanded her international perspective and refined her ability to deliver in fast-moving, competitive markets.
Sally's move to IAC-Search marked a pivotal step into Executive Search, specialising in the Corporate Assurance market. Working closely with the Directors, she delivered retained search assignments across the UK, Western Europe and Hong Kong, supporting FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Fortune 100 organisations. During this time, she developed expertise in market mapping, strategic search and advising senior professionals across risk, compliance, governance and internal audit functions.
Returning to Adelaide in 2022, Sally joined Perks People Solutions, partnering with organisations across private sector and government environments within accounting, corporate finance and corporate assurance specialisations. This period established a strong foundation within South Australia's recruitment and business landscape.
In 2026, Sally launched Warner Recruitment Partners, drawing on more than 25 years of recruitment experience across Australia and the UK, shaped by exceptional firms, industry leaders and longstanding professional networks. Her approach remains grounded in trust, professionalism and carefully aligned recruitment outcomes.
